So today, for fun I tried joining Matrix HQ room and guess what, my homeserver went down and this is one beefy machine 12 core, 64GB RAM. Had to restart synapse to bring things back.

The room is still syncing though, so there's still hope :p

A casual talk regarding OpenStreetMap (OSM) with my roommate lead to the discovery that Snapchat uses OpenStreetMap as basemap for their map functionality. It was felt great learning about this development.
